About Citizens Advice Cheshire East

Our Aims

  • To provide the advice people need for the problems they face
  • To improve policies and practices that affect peoples' lives

We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to people who live and work in Cheshire East on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.

Our Service

Citizens Advice CE is an independent registered charity and part of the national network of Citizens Advice.

We have offices in Congleton, Crewe and Nantwich and an outreach service in Middlewich. Citizens Advice CE also offers help to clients by telephone and email.

Our service is largely staffed by volunteers without whom we would be unable to operate. We have around 100 volunteers in a variety of roles including general advisers, gateway assessors, administrators and specialist advisers.

On average we help with around 20,000 problems every year. These can be on practically any topic from debt, welfare benefits, housing, consumer rights, employment and legal.
